Awesome Vetinarian clinic- always a pleasant experience- friendly helpful staff who take the time to listen to you and your concerns. I would thoroughly recommend this clinic (and I do) to everyone. Would not go anywhere else. Great after hours assistance if needed. I cannot offer a suggestion as to how to improve their services because they are ‘top notch’ in my books.

Just got my pit back today from here. She had surgery to remove her leg she broke. I traveled and hour an a half BC the vets near me were more about money than helping my dog. I was limited on my expenses and they worked great with me. The did a great job on the surgery I was very impressed. The quoted price was the same in the end. They did not try to rack up the bill later. They stuck to their price. I was very happy all the way around and highly recommend this vets office to everyone. Thank you to the whole staff for taking care of my loved one Dorito!!!!
They were very nice and my shih-tzu molly didnt seem scared when coming out. They were very good. Gave me medicine and will be bringing here back for check up. Also they do teeth cleaning reasonable cost amount. So set up appt. For her.

My senior dog needed to be euthanized, and for a couple of reasons I wanted it done at home. Her regular vet (Foothills Pet Hospital) wouldn’t do that, nor would the other vet in Mt. Airy they recommended. There is a business in Greensboro that performs this service, but they didn’t cover far western Surry County. Animal Medical Services was very understanding when I called, and came out the next day. The personnel who came to my house were compassionate and understanding. I cannot express how much their services meant to me.
Luke is 15 ½ years old and began having great difficulty getting up and down. He is a 45 pound Border Collie mix. He had pain in his back legs, especially his left rear leg when he was trying to lie down. He was on prescription medication daily. We decided to try laser therapy for his discomfort and inability to move well.
After the first treatment there was very little noticeable difference. After the second treatment he was obviously moving better. By the 5th treatment he was moving much better, getting up and down was much easier for him and he no longer needed daily pain medication. It has been five days since his last treatment and he has not shown any signs of pain and has not had any pain medication.
We definitely recommend this treatment for mobility issues and pain. Even in an elderly dog it works wonders. We feel so lucky to have our old boy and to see him moving around like a much younger dog. We are so grateful for the doctors at Animal Medical Services and their tender, loving care for Luke.
Thursday was my first visit to Animal Services with my new puppy, Peanut.. Everyone was very nice and kind. Dr Green was very professional and caring.

Absolutely a blessing. My mothers little dog was hit by a truck. But they didnt have the money that day to cover the cost. They didnt care and immediately took her dog in and provided it with the care it needed and set them up on easy payments.
Able to squeeze in a burn victim kitty and give him such Great care!!! All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Thank you!!!
I have taken my pets to Animal Medical Services for many years. The veterinarians and all of the staff have always been so good to my pets, caring for them as if they were their own. I’ve had to call them on the weekends for emergencies and at night, and they are always available to me. I cannot imagine taking my pets anywhere else and I encourage everyone I know who has pets to visit them. They take the time to thoroughly examine my pets and always recommend the best course of treatment for them. One thing about them all that really stands out is their compassion for all animals. It takes very special people to do what they do. The vets and staff at AMS are just that special. They have shed just as many tears as I have, when I lose a pet to age or disease. And they have many times stood by my side as I’ve told a beloved pet goodbye.
